The Salt Lake Yoga Company gives back to the Salt Lake community with its FREE yoga and the art of meditation for children. Meditation teaches children how to quiet their minds. This will help them to be more mindful and present in their daily lives and can also help them to make better decisions. Your child or children will explore the basics of meditation in an engaging atmosphere with Christian Fritze. This special series begins with yoga poses to relax and calm the body in preparation for meditation. Topics that will be covered in this series include breathing, visualization, positive self-dialogue, and the powerful use of imagination for self-exploration. This series is recommended for children aged 5-11. It will be held at Vitalize Community and Healing Arts Studio in Sugarhouse on September 26th, October 23rd, and November 23rd from 11 A.M. to 12 noon.

Christian holds a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science with an emphasis in exercise physiology from the University of Utah. She worked as a fitness coach, designing and implementing different corporate wellness programs in SLC and across the country. She is also a certified yoga instructor and co-founder of the Salt Lake Yoga Company. The Salt Lake Yoga Company is a co-op of three yoga practitioners, Adrienne Martain Black, Christian Fritze, and Christy Christensen, who met in yoga teacher training. They share the vision of bringing yoga to the world. They are committed to giving back to the Salt Lake community by playing an active role in charitable events and providing free yoga classes for various causes.
